Phil Bird plays Brook guitars​

Phil has worked on the acoustic scene for many years as an independent creator of Songs, CDs, poems and narratives.​​

He also shows his Paintings Internationally.

‘Phils  songs and playing are rooted in a love of folk melody and narrative balladry. He interweaves mythologies of landscape, human experience and tales from life into lyrical songs with haunting melodies and  virtuoso open tuning  finger-style guitar. His work has a distinctive contemporary cutting edge feel embracing both light and dark themes’

 

Phil has performed at major Festivals including Glastonbury, Greenbelt, Croissant Neuf in UK and on TV and radio , gigs abroad include Nicosia World music fest in Cyprus,and  gigs in Ireland.

 

 

Phil released Storm Gold his first album in 1997

and has since made 4 more solo CDs

 

 

Little Vessel featured distinguished guest musicians Tim Harries and Jerry Cahill.​
